Within the West Midlands, Central Connect is one of the major Rotala PLC brands, used for Local Bus Services operated from the Long Acre depot in northern Birmingham.

The company has continued to expand services following the acquisition of Zaks Bus and Coach Services Ltd, North Birmingham Busways and Birmingham Motor Traction Ltd. The fleet consists of over 90 vehicles covering services as far north as Lichfield and Ludlow to the south comprising a variety of tendered and commercial services.

As of October 2009, the company had carried over 310,000 passengers in one calendar month, and is planning the launch of several new services in 2010 to maintain the impetus of recent impressive results.

The company aims to develop by reviewing local market conditions and therefore provide bus services where others may have failed; one example is the 10 service, which Central Connect rescued from complete withdrawal in June 2009. Since taking the route, patronage levels have doubled and continue to perform promisingly.

Recent focussed advertising and marketing campaigns have allowed Central Connect to increase its image in the area it serves; and further marketing campaigns are soon to follow to advertise the launch of new services in 2010.
