Rotala's depth of experience in operating bus and coach services on a commercial basis ensures strong performance in this area. Reliability, quality and cost are all major factors that decide the award of contracts. The volume of contracts awarded to the group, both on renewal and for new routes, proves that Rotala is a valuable and strong partner for contracted services. The following are examples of the authorities that we currently work with.
Centro, West Midlands - Currently, 86 contracts are operated for Centro (the Passenger Transport Executive for the West Midlands). Many of the subsidised services are early morning or late evening buses for shift workers; some are Sunday services.
Worcestershire County Council - 37 routes are operated on a mixture of cost and minimum cost and subsidy contracts throughout the Worcestershire area, mostly connecting rural areas.
South Gloucestershire County Council - Since commencing our Bristol operations in April 2007, Bristol City Council has been a key partner. We now operate the majority of BCC's contracts including 2 Park and Ride services alongside many stand-alone routes within the Bristol area.
South Gloucestershire County Council - Rotala has been working with the Council since 2007, operating a significant group of supported services linking key areas, such as Yate and Chipping Sodbury to the surrounding rural areas and Bristol. A series of commercial services also operate within the Council area providing a network of socially necessary local bus services.
